The Windmills of my Mind
Jean Auel would have been proud.

ReBoot - Hexadecimal
Courtesy of [info]katzedecimal, a prehistoric dildo. It may not have been the Jack Rabbit, but can a Jack Rabbit also knap flint? This is the first evidence of prehistoric multitasking! Is this yet another of Ayla's many, many inventions?

And from Bill The Cat Guy, Cute Japanese rubbers. "Rubber" meaning "Condom" for those of us over 30. Are these cute or creepy?

And from Bill's message board, some scans of "Godyssey," which proves that Jesus and Leifield don't mix. Oh dear God, and I do mean that.

:SPLURCH:

Rob Liefeld must be stopped.

Yes. But which is worse, his writing or his art? I can only judge the latter, as you can see at a glance that his perspective, ability to draw non-laughable anatomy, and composition skills are pretty awful. I've heard that his writing is not good either, but to judge that I'd have to actually sit down and read one of his comics, and be familiar with the universe it's set in. I'm not willing to put myself through that.

"Eat crap and die, filthy stinking maggot!"

Wait... maybe I can judge it just a little.

Mmmm... sacrilicious...

That must have been from the "Buggere Alle Thys" translation, that's all I can say.

No, it's from the Book of Om, New Testament, right at the beginning.

... I honestly thought I had seen the worst that Liefield had to offer. Even in my most vivid, fever-induced nightmares I never thought I would see something like this.

And really, I don't think my life is better for having seen it.

Mwaahaahaa!

You can tell it's Liefeldiness from 3 things:

1:
Except for the cross scene, no one has feet. He drew that one Jesus foot, phew!, now he can retire from drawing a second foot for the rest of his life.

2:
"KRAK-A-BOOM!" That's that new breakfast cereal, right? "KRAK-A-BOOM! Every bite is full of Jesus Doom!"

3:
It is retarded.

Actually, that is not Liefeld's art. The proportions don't suck, and the artist shows signs of actually having passed a Human Anatomy class. Rob Liefeld and Robert Napton were the writers, and the art is by Ed Benes and Michael Chang.

So it is an artist who is very good at Rob's very bad style.
Man, how sad can you get?
29th-Jul-2005 12:53 am (UTC)
That's not sad. It's downright depressive.
